Concrete Communities: Event 011
Yemi took part in Concrete Communities Event 011, a panel discussion hosted at Hawkins\Brown’s London headquarters, bringing together architects, designers, historians and skateboarders to explore the relationship between urban design and public space.
The event examined how cities are shaped, used and reinterpreted, particularly through informal activities such as skateboarding and what this means for inclusive, adaptable placemaking. Yemi shared her perspective as an architect and public-sector development leader, reflecting on how design, policy and collaboration can support more flexible and people-centred urban environments.
The discussion highlighted the value of cross-disciplinary dialogue in rethinking how public spaces are designed, managed and experienced. Click here to read more
